Dr.Naresh Shanmugam underwent undergraduate training at Stanley medical college and postgraduate training in paediatrics at Institute of child health, Chennai.

With a view to enhance his skills, He underwent Royal college of paediatrics and child health (RCPCH,UK) accredited structured training program in Paediatrics and Neonates (Certificate of completion of training, C.C.T ) and then took sub-speciality training in Paediatric Hepatology, Gastroenterology and Nutrition.

After extensive training, RCPCH and General Medical council (GMC, UK) awarded him Certificate of Sub-Speciality training (C.S.S.T) in Paediatric Hepatology, Gastroenterology and Nutrition.
